TABC held seminars focused on educating businesses, media, academia, politicians and the general public about the Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) in 9 U.S. cities over the course of 18 months. Events were held in Atlanta, GA; Indianapolis, IN; Charlotte, NC; and Houston, TX; San Jose, CA; San Francisco, CA; Columbus, OH; Chicago, IL; and Detroit, MI. Each event consisted of a morning program featuring speakers from local companies (both large corporations and small/medium-sized enterprises), government, academia, thank-tanks, and bi-national business chambers.
Additionally, a dinner was held preceding the main event in each city for a smaller group of high-level officials and experts, including: representatives from district field offices of the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. Congress, state government officials from the Departments of International Trade and/or Economic Development Agencies, locally-based business executives, and representatives from European general consulates and bi-national chambers of commerce.
