2017 Transatlantic Economy Study Released

The annual study on the transatlantic economy prepared by Dan Hamilton and Joseph Quinlan of the Johns Hopkins University SAIS Center for Transatlantic Relations was released on March 10, 2017 at a conference in Brussels hosted by AmCham EU, which sponsored the study. The 2017 study notes that “the transatlantic economy is the largest and wealthiest market in the world: 66% of outward stock and 57% of inward stock of global foreign direct investment (FDI); one-third of global GDP in terms of purchasing power; 27% of global exports; and 31% of global imports.”
