Jobs and Economic Growth for Atlanta: How The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) Will Help
TABC in partnership with local Atlanta organizations held an event on the topic of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) to help educate businesses, media and the greater public in the Atlanta region about TTIP. More than 125 people attended.
The event ran as a morning program consisting of keynote speaker Kurt P. Kuehn, Chief Financial Officer of UPS and other speakers including: Tim Bennett, Director-General/CEO, Trans-Atlantic Business Council (TABC); Andreas von Uexküll, Chargé d’Affaires & Head of Trade and Economic Affairs Section, Embassy of Sweden to the U.S.; Chris Israel, Partner, ACG Analytics; Gary Bruce, President and Managing Director of PartnerTech Inc.; Sebastian Oertel, COO, TUV Rheinland Mobility, Inc. Included in the program was a presentation on the regional impact of the EU-U.S. trade relationship and a panel of business executives who will discussed the local impact of transatlantic trade on regional jobs and the economy. The morning began with a networking breakfast and concluded before noon.
Following the event, the Atlanta Business Chronicle published an OpEd by UPS CFO and event speaker Kurt Kuehn: “Georgia will benefit from new Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership“.
