Emanuel Adam
Policy Director

Emanuel Adam serves as a Policy Director for the Transatlantic Business Council's. In this role, he supports the organization’s policy initiatives and liaises with EU and US government officials. Emanuel previously worked as the EU Administrator for the TABD, organizing policy meetings and supporting the Executive Director. He has also worked with several German public institutions developing social policy publications. Emanuel received his B.A in Cultural Science from European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, and holds a Master’s in Public Policy & Management from the University of Potsdam. He was a Fulbright student at Duke University in the US and received an exchange diploma in political science from Sciences Po Paris.

Justine Korwek
Policy Director
Justine Korwek is a Policy Director for the Transatlantic Business Council, providing support for members and coordinating policy working groups and Brussels-based initiatives. She represents TBC to government and industry officials in Brussels. Prior to this position, Justine was the Brussels Director for the European-American Business Council. She previously worked in the European Parliament for James Elles MEP (UK), while focusing on transatlantic relations. She was awarded a BA degree in International Studies from DePaul University (US), and an MA in International Political Economy from the University of Kent in Brussels (UK). She is a native of Poland and is also an American citizen.

Hendrike Kuehl
Policy Director

Hendrike Kuehl is a Policy Director for the Transatlantic Business Council. In this role she coordinates policy initiatives with the members of the Council. Hendrike previously worked for the TransAtlantic Business Dialogue. In her role as EU Director she was responsible for the coordination of TABD’s working groups and the organisation of policy committee and board meetings on the EU side. Prior to joining TABD she worked as a supervisor at Psephos Institut, Hamburg, where she analysed and evaluated political research surveys. Before acquiring her degree, Hendrike worked for Tate & Lyle Germany as a project manager in the purchase division with focus on the identification of Chinese raw materials suppliers. Hendrike holds a BA degree in European Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Claire Layton
Membership & Events Director
Claire Layton is Transatlantic Business Council's Membership and Events Director, in charge of recruitment and membership services at the TBC and the lead on the TABD program events. Prior to this position, Claire worked for 2 years with the TABD as the U.S. Administrator, with a focus on Membership Services, Events, TABD's policy agenda and relationships with the U.S. Government representatives. She received her BBA degree in Design and Management from Parsons, the New School for Design in New York City. She was born in Paris and spent the first half of her life in France though she holds a U.S. citizenship.

Dawn Nunnery
Operations Manager
Dawn Nunnery is the Operations Manager for Transatlantic Business Council, running the finances and operations of the organization as well as supporting the Director-General. Dawn was previously the Operations Manager for the European-American Business Council since March of 2012. Prior to joining EABC, Dawn worked 19 years for New York and Company as a Store Sales Manager. Dawn received her B.A. in Child Psychology at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

Hilary Sama, CMP
Events & Communications Director

Hilary Sama serves as the Events & Communications Director of Transatlantic Business Council, coordinating the organization’s events and managing TBC’s online presence as well as media outreach. She previously served as Programs & Media Manager for the European-American Business Council. Before joining TBC, Hilary was Senior Director of Development for the Lawyers Have Heart 10K Run at American Heart Association, overseeing the logistics and fundraising for Washington’s largest 10K race. Her work experience also includes marketing and coordinating client events for a top-selling real estate group at Long & Foster. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Washington College in Chestertown, MD.
